Atlanta Hawks Team Report - January 22

(Basketball News) - Shareef Abdur-Rahim scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 97-87 win over the Chicago Bulls in a battle between the two worst teams in the Central Division at Philips Arena.

Stephen Jackson also scored 22 points and Theo Ratliff added 15 for the Hawks, who have won two of their last three games. Jason Terry netted 14 points and handed out seven assists for Atlanta, which shot 50 percent from the field (37-of-74).

The Hawks dominated the paint, outscoring Chicago 56-32. Atlanta has won four straight and seven of the last 10 at home against the Bulls.

Abdur-Rahim picked up his 21st double-double of the season.

Atlanta is off until Friday when it hosts Stephon Marbury and the New York Knicks.
