(Basketball News) - The Atlanta Hawks began a five-game road trip Wednesday by suffering a 99-72 defeat to the Golden State Warriors at the Arena in Oakland.
Jason Terry returned from a one-game suspension and paced Atlanta with 13 points and six assists. Dion Glover netted 11 points and Shareef Abdur-Rahim pulled down 12 boards for the Hawks, who have dropped four of their first five games this season.
The Hawks, who shot only 37 percent from the floor for the game, scored just eight points in the fourth quarter to match the franchise-low for points in the final frame. Atlanta also managed only eight fourth-quarter points in a game against Miami on November 15, 1996.
Atlanta was outscored by a 48-27 margin in the second half.
The Hawks are off until Saturday when they head to Portland to tangle with the Blazers at the Rose Garden.
