NBA Game Summary - Golden State at Denver

Denver, CO (Basketball News) - Carmelo Anthony scored 32 points and the Denver Nuggets clinched a playoff berth with a 122-106 victory over Golden State at the Pepsi Center.

DerMarr Johnson added 20 points and Andre Miller collected 16 assists and 10 points in the win. Earl Boykins had 12 points with 10 assists for the Nuggets, who have won eight straight games.

Golden State’s Baron Davis scored 28 points. Jason Richardson contributed 26 for the Warriors, who have lost two straight after winning their previous eight games. Golden State has already been eliminated from playoff contention.

Denver shot a sizzling 61 percent from the field in the opening half and led 68-64 at the break. The Warriors were ahead by one early in the third quarter, but the Nuggets took the lead for good, 74-73, after a field goal by Miller with 9:15 to play in the period.

The basket by Miller sparked a 17-4 run that put Denver in front, 89-77. The Nuggets led, 98-86, after three quarters and used an 11-2 run to begin the final frame to take control. A layup by Wesley Person with 7:53 to go capped the burst for a 109-88 advantage.

Denver has won nine straight at home and 22 of its last 24 overall...Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin was ejected in the third quarter. He received technical in the second quarter for throwing his mouthpiece, then was tossed after getting his second technical for shoving Warriors center Adonal Foyle...Warriors forwards Rodney White and Nikoloz Tskitishvili made their first visit to Denver since being traded for Eduardo Najera and Luis Flores...Davis, who scored 38 on Sunday against San Antonio, did not score in the fourth quarter.
