Dallas, TX (Basketball News) - Josh Powell tipped home the game-winning basket with six seconds left, lifting the Dallas Mavericks to an 86-85 win over the New York Knicks at American Airlines Center.
Powell, who finished with nine points, put back a Devin Harris driving floater to give Dallas the win.
New York’s Jamal Crawford missed a potential game-winning jumper from the elbow as time expired and the Knicks ending up blowing a 19-point first-half lead.
Trevor Ariza had 13 points while Nate Robinson recorded 12 points to lead New York. Crawford, along with Stephon Marbury and Maurice Taylor, had 11 points.
Josh Howard led the Mavericks with 21 points and eight rebounds.
