Mavs lose Howard for two weeks 11.7.2006

An MRI taken Tuesday revealed the sprain was second-degree, which means that ligaments surrounding the ankle are stretched and may be torn, but the ankle itself remains stable.
Howard suffered the injury with 6:35 left in the second quarter of last night’s 107-104 home loss to Golden State, after he collided with Warriors forward Mickael Pietrus on a layup, and twisted the ankle. He was able to take his free throws, but required help to get to the locker room and did not return.
