Medvedenko signs two-year deal with Lakers 08.3.2004

El Segundo, CA (Basketball News) - The Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday signed forward Slava Medvedenko to a two-year contract. As per team policy, financial terms were not disclosed.
Medvedenko, who was a free agent, posted career highs in points (8.3), rebounds (5.0) and assists (0.8) last season for Los Angeles. The Lakers reached the NBA Finals but were ousted in five games by the Detroit Pistons.
The Ukrainian was a part of the Lakers’ championship squads in 2001 and 2002. Medvedenko originally signed with LA prior to the 2000-01 campaign.
