(Basketball News) - Dwyane Wade poured in 23 points and Damon Jones drained a career-high seven three-pointers as Miami rolled to a 100-80 victory over slumping Utah at the Delta Center.

Jones finished 7-of-11 from beyond the arc in a 21-point effort for the Heat, who had lost two of three coming in. Shaquille O’Neal added 21 points and 13 boards and surpassed the 10,000 career rebound mark in the triumph.

After Mehmet Okur’s jump shot cut Miami’s lead to 58-57 at the 7:24 mark of the third, the Heat put together a 19-2 run over the next five minutes to break open the contest. Jones hit consecutive three-pointers to put Miami up 72-59 with under five minutes to go in the stanza and Wade sank one of two foul shots to lengthen the margin to 14 points.

Wade then threw down a high-flying dunk with 3:15 left in the quarter before O’Neal capped the flurry with a jam less than a minute later for a 77-59 game.

Jones’ final three of the night extended the cushion to 20 points, 86-66, with under nine minutes remaining and Utah never threatened over the rest of the night.

Miami, which shot 51.5 percent (34-of-66) for the game and made 9-of-16 shots from long distance, returns to action on Wednesday against Milwaukee.
