=== Miami Heat Team Report - January 31 ===

(Basketball News) - Miami posted a solid 104-95 victory over the Houston Rockets at American Airlines Arena on Sunday.

Dwyane Wade had a game-high 30 points, eight rebounds and six assists to anchor the Heat to the win. Damon Jones and Udonis Haslem both scored 16 points for the Heat, winners of three straight and four of their last five games. Shaquille O’Neal ended with 15 points and five boards in the win.

A frustrated O’Neal, who fouled out and went to the charity stripe just five times himself in the game, skipped the postgame interview session. The perennial All-Star averages 11 trips to the line, while posting 22.9 points (10th-NBA) and 10.6 rebounds (7th-NBA) per contest.

Miami shot 50 percent from the floor, while Houston made 43 percent of its shots. The Heat also hit 6-of-14 (.429) from three-point range and 24-of-29 (.828) from the free throw line in the win. Wade dropped 14-of-16 shots from the free throw line.

Wade has been an excellent wingman for O’Neal this season, as he has tallied 23.5 points (9th-NBA) and 7.5 assists (5th-NBA) per contest. The 23-year-old is also getting to line on average 10 times per game.

The Heat own the Eastern Conference’s best record (33-13), while sitting fourth in the league in scoring (101.8 ppg). Meanwhile, Miami has limited its foes to 96.3 points per contest (14th). Miami’s foes are managing just 42.9 percent (5th-tie) from the field, while it is hitting a league-best 48.4 percent of its shots.

Miami will look to continue its recent success on Tuesday night, when it travels to Dallas to take on the Mavericks. The Heat will then have only home tilts against Cleveland (Thursday) and Chicago (Saturday) left on their slate for the week.
