The Timberwolves activated Wally Szczerbiak, an All-Star in 2002, from the injured list prior to Thursday’s game. Szczerbiak, who had missed the entire season with a strained left foot, contributed six points and two rebounds in 16 minutes.

Elsewhere on the injury front the Timberwolves could get have center Michael Olowokandi back tonight. Olowokandi has been sidelined since early December following right knee surgery.

Minnesota, which is 16-2 when it scores at least 100 points this season, is 9-3 in games played on Fridays.

The Timberwolves, who will host the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, are 18-9 away from home this season.
