Los Angeles, CA (Basketball News) - Cuttino Mobley led all scorers with 19 points to lead the Los Angeles Clippers over the Atlanta Hawks, 92-77, at Staples Center.

James Singleton had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds off the bench and Elton Brand had 12 points, nine rebounds, and four assists for the Clippers, who have won their first two games of the season.

"I was pleased with our effort tonight, especially blocking shots," said Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy. "We did what we needed to do. We had good play from our bench. (Chris) Wilcox and Singleton had good performances."

Salim Stoudamire had 15 points, shooting 3-for-4 from three-point range, and Zaza Pachulia added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Hawks, who have lost two in a row.

Atlanta got its offense going in the second quarter, but was unable to make an extended run to get close to Los Angeles.

After Joe Johnson nailed a three-pointer to cut the Clippers lead to nine points, but back-to-back jumpers by Daniel Ewing and Sam Cassell gave the Clippers a 13-point lead with 3:10 left in the second.

The Clippers took a 56-40 lead into the locker room. They outrebounded the Hawks 28-20 and shot 48 percent with 32 points in the paint.

Cassell led all scorers at the half with 12 points.

Mobley had nine points in the third session.

The Clippers went into the last quarter with their largest lead of the night, 76-51.

With the score 88-71, both teams exchanged several missed baskets and Atlanta made it a 13-point game with a pair of field goals by Royal Ivey, but were unable to get any closer and Los Angeles left the building with a 92-77 victory.
