Josh Howard added 18 and Jason Terry netted 15 for Dallas, which has won four of six. Erick Dampier collected 13 points while hauling down 12 boards for his fifth straight double-double in the win. Chris Bosh paced Toronto with a career-high 29 points. Jalen Rose added 22 and Morris Peterson chipped in 21 for the Raptors, who had their two-game winning streak snapped. Donyell Marshall contributed 19 in the loss.

Philadelphia, PA (Basketball News) - Allen Iverson scored 28 points, including a key three-pointer and two free throws down the stretch, as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 106-104, at the Wachovia Center. Kyle Korver chipped in 16 points and Andre Iguodala added 15 for Philadelphia, which has won two in a row and four of its last five contests. Kenny Thomas and Corliss Williamson each had 14 points for the 76ers, who have won six of their last seven home games. Bobby Simmons paced the Clippers with 27 points. Elton Brand contributed 21 points and Chris Kaman finished with 18 for Los Angeles, which has dropped two straight after a three-game winning streak. Quinton Ross collected 15 points and six boards in the loss.

Minneapolis, MN (Basketball News) - Paul Pierce scored a game-high 32 points and Gary Payton added 22 to lead Boston to a 103-100 win over Minnesota at the Target Center. Ricky Davis had 12 points and Raef LaFrentz contributed 15 rebounds for the Celtics, who have won three straight games. Kevin Garnett scored 21 points and grabbed 13 boards for the slumping Timberwolves, who have dropped a season-high five straight contests. Michael Olowokandi also added 21 points and Fred Hoiberg chipped in 14 in the loss.

Houston, TX (Basketball News) - Yao Ming sank two free throws with 15.2 seconds remaining as Houston held off a furious comeback by the Los Angeles Lakers to hang on for a wild 103-102 win at the Toyota Center. Yao ended with 23 points while Bob Sura and David Wesley each netted 19 points for the Rockets, who have won four straight. Tracy McGrady added 21 points for Houston, which hung on for the win despite going without a field goal in the final 5:30 of the contest. Lamar Odom paced the Lakers with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Chucky Atkins added 21 and Jumaine Jones collected 18 points with 13 rebounds for the Lakers, who fell to 0-2 under interim head coach Frank Hamblen, who took over for former head coach Rudy Tomjanovich.
