Andersen’s dismissal upheld

Arbitrator Calvin Sharpe denied the grievance on Monday that was filed by Anderson and the Player’s Association after the forward’s disqualification from the league.

What Andersen, 27, was dismissed from the league for testing positive for was not disclosed. He can file for re-instatement in two years.

In 32 games this season, Andersen averaged 5.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.28 blocks. For his career, Andersen averaged 5.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 253 games with the Hornets and Nuggets.
