=== Sacramento Kings Team Report - December 6 ===

(Basketball News) - On a night when they honored former guard Mitch Richmond, the Sacramento Kings fell in overtime to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 112-109, on Friday. It was the fourth consecutive contest between these teams that needed an extra session to decide the game, setting an NBA record.

Brad Miller led the Kings with a season-high 35 points to go along with 10 boards. Peja Stojakovic added 18 and 11 rebounds as Sacramento fell for the first time in 11 tries at home this season. The Kings also had an eight-game winning streak come to an end.

With the game tied at 106-106 in the extra session, Latrell Sprewell converted on a jumper to put Minnesota ahead for good with 1:39 left. Miller was then fouled, and for the second time in the contest, didn’t come through in the clutch from the line, as he hit just 1-of-2.

Sprewell then hit a midrange jumper to make it 110-107 with 39.3 seconds remaining. Following a missed shot by Mike Bibby, Sam Cassell iced the win with a lay-in to expand the lead to five with just seconds left to play.

Miller hit a basket at the buzzer to create the final margin.

Sacramento will return to the court on Tuesday when they host the LA Clippers.
