(Basketball News) - Chris Webber had 31 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists as the Sacramento Kings edged the Memphis Grizzlies, 107-105.
"He (Webber) did a lot of things tonight and that’s what we keep talking about," Kings coach Rick Adelman said. "You can’t look at one, two games, you’ve got to look at the progression."
The Kings have won four straight and five of six and have moved above .500 for the first time this season.
Mike Bibby added 18 points and five assists, while Peja Stojakovic had 17 as the Kings won for the 18th time in 19 all-time games against the Grizzlies at Arco Arena.
The Grizzlies led 97-92 in the fourth quarter before Sacramento ripped off a 12-1 run to take command. A Webber jumper with three minutes left in the contest gave the Kings the lead for good, at 100-98. The lead swelled to 103-98 on a Stojakovic three-pointer with 2:40 remaining.
Sacramento, which is 4-0 at home this season, returns to action on Sunday when it hosts the Milwaukee Bucks. The Kings split their two matchups with the Bucks last season, but have won six of the last 10 meetings. Milwaukee has also lost three of five and six of its last nine in Sacramento.
