(Basketball News) - Peja Stojakovic poured in 34 points to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 125-121 overtime win over Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center Wednesday.
Stojakovic scored 26 points in the second half and finished 11-of-19 from the field, including 5-of-6 from three-point range.
Mike Bibby added 22 points, while Vlade Divac chipped in 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Kings, who rebounded from their only loss of the year on Saturday against Denver.
Bobby Jackson also had 19 points and Brad Miller scored 17 in the win.
Two free throws by Kevin Garnett with 21 seconds left in the fourth gave the Timberwolves a 110-108 edge, but Bibby’s jumper with 9.7 seconds to go in the period tied the score and sent the contest into OT.
Bibby’s layup with 2:44 remaining in overtime gave Sacramento a 116-112 cushion and Stojakovic’s three-pointer just under one minute later made it a five-point contest. The Kings held on from there.
Sacramento is off until Friday when it travels to New York to tangle with the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
