(Basketball News) - The Magic will try to get back on the winning track this evening, when they tangle with the Washington Wizards in the front end of a home-and-home at TD Waterhouse Centre.
Orlando, meanwhile, has lost two straight games. On Tuesday the Magic dropped a 95-83 contest in Memphis. Steve Francis and Grant Hill led the way with 18 points for Orlando, which has dropped three of its last four overall. Jameer Nelson contributed 17 points in 23 minutes off the bench in the losing effort.
The Magic were outscored by an 18-4 margin in the final 4:05 of Tuesday’s game, and lost the fourth quarter as a whole, 32-19.
The Magic enter Friday’s action tied for sixth in the Eastern Conference with the Chicago Bulls.
Orlando has won five of its last six at home.
Washington defeated Orlando, 106-96, at the MCI Center on November 10 to snap a four-game series losing streak. The Wizards have lost five straight in central Florida.
Orlando head to Washington D.C. to face the Wizards on Saturday evening. The Magic will then have a day off before starting their week against Atlanta at Philips Arena on Monday.
