|
(Basketball News) - The Phoenix Suns went into the All-Star break on a losing note on Wednesday, as they dropped a 110-99 decision to the Golden State Warriors at the Arena.
Amare Stoudemire poured in a game-high 33 points and Shawn Marion chipped in 19 for the Suns, who dropped their fifth straight contest. Joe Johnson and Casey Jacobsen were Phoenix’s other double-digit scorers with 14 and 10, respectively.
On the injury front, forward Zarko Cabarkapa returned to the lineup after missing six consecutive game. The Serbian rookie, who has been plagued by wrist problems, sustained an allergic reaction over the weekend that caused a rash and was not expected to return until after the break.
The Suns, who have just one win in nine games played on Wednesdays this season, have dropped four straight and six of their last seven on the road and are 6-22 away from home this season.
Phoenix returns to action on Tuesday in Minnesota.
