(Basketball News) - The Suns have lost three straight games for the first time this season, as they fell 108-103 to Washington at the MCI Center on Saturday night.
Amare Stoudemire led the Suns with 26 points on 9-of-24 shooting to go along with nine rebounds and four steals. Quentin Richardson scored 25 points, Joe Johnson had 23, and Shawn Marion finished with 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Leandro Barbosa added 15 points in his first career start. He replaced Steve Nash, who sat out with a bruised left thigh. Nash is listed as day-to-day.
There were 10 lead changes and 14 ties in the contest. Washington overtook the front-running Suns in the final minutes of the game. Phoenix still owns a NBA best 31-7 record.
Phoenix will try to avoid a winless four-game road trip on Monday, when it takes on the Detroit Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
