Pistons sign Evans to offer sheet

Auburn Hills, MI (Basketball News) - The Detroit Pistons announced Wednesday that restricted free-agent guard Maurice Evans has agreed to an offer sheet. Terms were not disclosed

Evans spent last season with the Sacramento Kings, who now have seven days to decide whether to match the Pistons’ offer.

The 26-year-old Evans played in 65 games and made 11 starts for the Kings in 2004-05. The 6’5" swingman averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 19 minutes per game.

Evans returned to the NBA with Sacramento last year after playing three seasons in Italy. He played briefly with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2001-02 before going to Europe.
