Rockets conclude road trip in Washington 12.9.2006

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On November 22nd, All-Star center Yao Ming finished with 25 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks as the Rockets edged the Washington Wizards 86-82 at the Toyota Center.
Houston has won two of three and four of its last six at Washington. The Rockets have won three in a row and six of the last seven contests in this series.
The Rockets are 1-1 on the swing. On Friday, Tracy McGrady ended with 23 points, five rebounds, five assists and a pair of steals as Houston pounded the Charlotte Bobcats, 92-62, allowing the lowest points total in franchise history.
Yao Ming posted 21 points and six rebounds in the win over Charlotte for the Rockets, who have won three of their last four games overall. Juwan Howard had 12 points and six rebounds, whiled Rafer Alston added 10 points in the victory.
Houston is 5-5 on the road this season. The Rockets return home to host Kobe Bryant and the Lakers on Wednesday at the Toyota Center.
Washington has won three in a row, and plays the opener of a three-game homestand this evening. All-Star Gilbert Arenas dropped in a game-high 32 points to lead the Wizards past the Philadelphia 76ers, 113-98, on Friday at the Wachovia Center.
Caron Butler added 20 points and 11 rebounds in the win over the Sixers for the Wizards, who won their second straight on the road after starting the season by losing a franchise-record eight straight away from home. DeShawn Stevenson tallied 17 points in the victory.
The Wizards are 7-2 at home this season. They will host Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday and Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat on Friday.
