Spurs beat Sonics to widen lead in West

San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - Tony Parker scored 27 points and dished out nine assists to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 104-95 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics.

Tim Duncan added 18 points and collected 14 rebounds for the Spurs, who hold a one-game lead over the Dallas Mavericks for the top spot in the Western Conference and Southwest Division. Michael Finley came off the bench to contribute 17 points, while Brent Barry tallied 16 points. The Spurs have won 12 of their last 16 games.

San Antonio’s Manu Ginobili miss the game with contusions on his left shin and calf. Nevertheless, the Spurs moved to 60 wins for the third time in franchise history.

Rashard Lewis and Luke Ridnour both scored 15 points for Seattle, while Ray Allen netted 14 points in the setback. Nick Collison posted 13 points and collected 12 boards for the Sonics, while Earl Watson chipped in 11 points. Seattle had a four-game winning streak broken.
