Wizards activate guard Blake from IL

Washington, DC (Basketball News) - The Washington Wizards activated guard Steve Blake off the injured list Saturday, while placing guard Laron Profit on the IL.

Blake missed the first eight games of the season after having surgery to remove a chipped bone in his right ankle. During his rookie season with the Wizards last year, Blake averaged 5.9 points and 2.8 assists in 75 games — including 14 starts.

Profit, who has played in five games this season, has been battling tendinitis in his left knee. He has averaged 3.2 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
