(Basketball News) - The Phoenix Suns try to open a season with five straight wins for the first time since 1984-85, as they visit LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight at Gund Arena.
The Suns play the final contest of their four-game road trip tonight.
On Tuesday, Amare Stoudemire scored 26 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the Suns in a 94-74 rout of the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. Joe Johnson added 20 points and Shawn Marion tallied 14 points and grabbed 13 boards for the Suns, who remained undefeated in four games this season.
Quentin Richardson chipped in with 16 points and seven boards in the victory over Chicago, while Steve Nash had eight points and 12 assists. The Phoenix starters outscored the entire Chicago lineup, 84-74.
Phoenix shot just 40 percent from the field and shot 23-of-27 from the free throw line against the Bulls. In the victory, Phoenix failed to score 100 points for the first time this season.
In 2003-04, the Suns swept their two meetings with the Cavs. Overall, Phoenix has won four straight and nine of the last 10 contests in this series. The Suns have won two straight and four of their last five at Cleveland.
