T.J. Ford scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Raptors, but left with a bruised lower back in the fourth quarter and did not return. Andrea Bargnani scored 18 points and grabbed eight boards for the Raptors, who had a three-game winning streak snapped. P.J. Tucker and Morris Peterson scored 12 points apiece, and Tucker grabbed nine boards for Toronto.
Nash scored 10 points for Phoenix, which has not lost since Nov. 18 at Utah. Shawn Marion scored 17 points, and Leandro Barbosa added 14 points off of the bench. Raja Bell scored 13 points and Boris Diaw scored 12 points on the night.
Toronto pulled to within five points early in the third quarter, but a Nash three cued a 22-2 run. Nash hit another three on the run, as did Marion, pushing the Phoenix lead to 75-50 with just under six minutes left in the third quarter. The Suns led by as many as 27, and 90-70 going into the fourth quarter.
Phoenix’s regulars sat for most of the final 12 minutes as the Suns coasted to the win.
The Raptors never led, trailing 33-25 after the first quarter, and 53-44 at halftime.
