Williams averaged 7.3 points and 4.5 rebounds in 16 games this season with Phoenix, his second year with the club.
According to The Dallas Morning News, the Mavericks are interested in adding Williams to their roster for depth up front.
During his career, Williams has also played for the Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets. He has averaged 5.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in 700 career games.
The Suns fell 101-79 to the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
