(Basketball News) - The Utah Jazz host the expansion Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday at the Delta Center. It will be the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On November 16th, the Jazz knocked off the Bobcats, 107-105, at the Charlotte Coliseum.
The Jazz enter Tuesday’s contest on a two-game losing streak. On Saturday, Vince Carter poured in a game-high 30 points, while Jason Kidd netted 19 to lead the New Jersey Nets past Utah, 99-82 at The Delta Center.
Raja Bell scored a team-high 20 points for a tired Jazz team that had only one player in double figures. Utah has dropped four of its last five contests. Carlos Boozer scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss.
The Jazz are 5-23 when they score under 100 points this season.
Utah is just 9-12 as the host this season. The Jazz have lost three of their last four at the Delta Center.
All-Star forward Andrei Kirilenko is still not at the top of his game since returning from a knee injury on January 22nd. He is averaging 9.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and two assists in five games since his return. The Jazz are just 1-4 with Kirilenko back in the lineup.
Boozer has scored in double-digits in 39 of Utah’s 45 games this season. He has recorded 21 double-doubles and has scored 20 or more points 19 times. The Duke product leads the Jazz in scoring (18.6 ppg) and rebounding (9.3 rpg).
The Jazz have a light schedule for the rest of the week, as they will host the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday. On November 22nd, New Orleans edged Utah, 75-76, at the Delta Center. The teams are scheduled to play twice more this season, as the Hornets will host Utah on March 4th and April 8th.
