=== Seattle SuperSonics Team Report - January 12 ===

(Basketball News) - The Seattle SuperSonics try to win their third straight game tonight when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center for the back end of a home-and-home.

Seattle has won seven of the last eight meetings between these teams, and 16 of the last 18 tilts played in LA.

On Tuesday in Seattle, Ray Allen scored a game-high 31 points with seven assists and six rebounds to lead the Sonics to a 104-99 victory over the Clippers at KeyArena.

Vladimir Radmanovic contributed 18 points and seven rebounds for the Sonics, who have won seven of their last 10 games. Danny Fortson had 11 points and Luke Ridnour led Seattle with 11 assists.

The Clippers went ahead 94-93 in the fourth quarter, but two free throws by Radmanovic with 3:27 left gave Seattle the lead for good. Allen scored to stretch the lead to three and Rashard Lewis buried a huge three-pointer from the left corner to give the Sonics a 100-94 lead with 1:16 remaining.

With Seattle clinging to a 102-99 lead, Nick Collison buried a pair of free throws with 13.9 seconds left to seal the win.

The Sonics are tied with San Antonio for second place in the Western Conference, and lead Minnesota by eight games in the Northwest Division standings.

Allen has scored in double-digits in all 33 of Seattle’s contests this season. He is averaging a team-high 24.1 points per game this season.

Seattle, which has lost two straight road games, will host Golden State on Friday to begin a five-game homestand.
