Spurs cruise past Warriors

San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - Nazr Mohammed posted 15 points and 14 rebounds as San Antonio downed Golden State 92-75 at the AT&T Center.

Tony Parker and Bruce Bowen both scored 14 points for the Spurs, who have won three straight. Manu Ginobili scored 13 points, while Rasho Nesterovic and Brent Barry added 10 points apiece. Tim Duncan notched a season-low nine points along with 16 boards for the Spurs, who have won 12 of their last 14 games overall.

Monta Ellis scored a career-high 16 points for the Warriors, who have lost three straight. Troy Murphy notched 12 points and 12 rebounds. Derek Fisher scored 11 points, while Jason Richardson added 10.

The Spurs closed the first quarter on a 19-4 run to take a 28-14 lead into the second quarter. They outscored the Warriors by five points in the second frame to take a 54-35 halftime lead.

Golden State outscored San Antonio 22-20 in the third quarter but both teams scored 18 in the fourth, as the Spurs’ early lead earned them victory.

San Antonio shot 37-for-91 (40.7 percent) compared to 30-for-89 (33.7 percent) by Golden State.

The Spurs outrebounded the Warriors 55-47, and registered 22 assists compared to 11 by Golden State.

The Spurs opened a four-game homestand, and own a 23-3 record at the AT&T Center this season.

Golden State, meanwhile, hosts a three-game homestand beginning with a game against Utah on February 27.

Game Notes

In the season series with San Antonio, the Warriors are 0-3. The Spurs posted a 113-89 win on November 23 in Oakland, and notched an 89-86 victory there on February 2...San Antonio, which has won 27 of the last 30 meetings, has won six straight versus the Warriors and 16 in a row at home...Golden State has not won at San Antonio since a 108-94 win on February 14, 1997, at the Alamodome.
