San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - The San Antonio Spurs announced Thursday that they have re-signed veteran forward Robert Horry to a contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 33-year-old Horry averaged 4.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 81 regular- season games for the Spurs in 2003-04. In the postseason, Horry played in 10 contests and netted 6.1 points and grabbed 6.3 boards per game for San Antonio, which was eliminated in six games by the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals.
A 12-year veteran, Horry has also spent time with the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns and the Lakers. The 6-10 Horry has won five NBA championships during his career. Horry was originally selected out of Alabama by the Rockets in the first round (11th pick overall) of the 1992 NBA Draft.
