=== Washington Wizards Team Report - November 27 ===

(Basketball News) - The Washington Wizards were dealt a heartbreaking loss by the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday afternoon at the Wachovia Center.

Allen Iverson stole an inbounds pass and dropped in a layup with two-tenths of a second remaining in overtime to give the Sixers a 116-114 victory over the Wizards.

Iverson, whose only steal came in the extra session, stepped in front of the inbounds pass by Jarvis Hayes and raced upcourt ahead of everyone to score and extend his streak to 31 games with a steal.

Antawn Jamison scored 27 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the Wizards, who played without head coach Eddie Jordan. Jordan was hospitalized Thursday with a blood clot in his left leg and will also miss Sunday’s game in Toronto. Assistant Mike O’Koren took over for Jordan.

Gilbert Arenas had 23 points and Larry Hughes added 20 with 12 boards and nine assists. Hayes scored 18 points and hit two big three-pointers in the loss.

Washington trailed throughout most of the second half, but tied the game at 103-103 on a three-pointer by Hayes just before the horn sounded to end the fourth quarter.

Hughes scored midway through the overtime session, as Washington matched its biggest lead of the game, 109-105, with three minutes remaining. The Sixers answered with seven straight points to take a 112-109 lead, but, Hayes struck again, hitting a three-pointer with 27 seconds left to tie the game at 114-114 before Iverson won it.

The Wizards will play on the road Sunday afternoon against the Toronto Raptors. Washington picked up its fourth straight win over the Raptors on Tuesday with a 102-86 home victory. The Wizards took three of four matchups with Toronto last season.
