=== San Antonio Spurs Team Report - January 27 ===

(Basketball News) - The San Antonio Spurs try to stop a two-game losing streak this evening when they wrap up their brief two-game road trip against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

On Monday, the Spurs found themselves on the losing end of a 93-92 decision against the Milwaukee Bucks in a back-and-forth contest at the Bradley Center.

The game came down to the final possession, as Tim Duncan drove the lane and threw down a slam dunk at the buzzer for what looked like a San Antonio win. However, the referees reviewed the play and ruled that the play clock read double-zero and the red light went off before the ball left Duncan’s hands.

Tony Parker scored a game-high 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting in the loss, as the Spurs dropped their second straight contest. Duncan netted 22 points, while Devin Brown added 11

Charlie Ward had four points and three assists in 14 minutes off the bench. Ward, who is averaging 5.7 points in 10 games for the Spurs, will be making his first MSG appearance since being dealt to the Phoenix Suns back on January 5.

Ward, who signed with San Antonio after getting released by the Suns, spent the first nine seasons of his career in New York.

San Antonio, which has not allowed over 100 points in its last 30 games, has won 10 of its last 14 on the road and is 12-11 away from home this season.

San Antonio defeated New York earlier in the year and has won three of the last five meetings. The Knicks though, have won five of the last eight matchups, including three of four and eight of 10 in NY against the Spurs.
