Emeka Okafor wants out and I can’t blame him. Who wants to live in Charlotte? Or Oklahoma City for that matter? He is now the top RFA this offseason since he’s a legitimate big who can play center and be a defensive force.
What ya got for them?

Speaking as a Chicago Bull fan, here is my trade proposal, I offer (sign and trade) Deng, Hinrich, and Drew Gooden for Emeka and Gerald Wallace. Ben Gordon and Emeka Okafor would be sick just like their UCONN days.
Since MJ has influence in Charlotte, maybe he can hook us up like Jerry West did with Pau Gasol to the Lakers.
This sucks for Charlotte to potentially lose their first face of the franchise. Look on the bright side. It’s not as bad as what happened to Seattle.

on 07.26.2008 | I agree with the guy below,ive traveled to Charlotte many times on business and it is a very nice place.It is very up and coming and will be a model for the south in years to come. I tried out the new Epicenter they are building in downtown,and this place was full of nice clubs with gorgeous woman.The new club Suite reminded me of a Las Vegas or South Beach club.You can actually walk through their downtown and feel safe.No bars on windows, no trash. Their skyline was very impressive with huge towers for a city of its size.Some of you guys talk about this place like its Salt Lake city,or Sacramento.Any basketball player that wouldnt want to play or raise his family in that beautiful town is stupid. . | Posted by

Youre right it is a business.But their past is not their past 75 % of the time.Once a thug always a thug.They show that side of them when they run up into the stands in front of our children attacking people,and just the other night we had females that are supposed to conduct themselves as ladies brawling in front of thousands of little girls watching. My argument originally started in defense of Our city of Charlotte,with idiots bashing us.Like the guy who wrote this column.Half of the people that talk have never even been here,and have no idea what theyre talking about.And the ones who have that cant find anything to do,are probably losers that have no friends or life as is.Our nightlife is poppin with hundreds of bars , Dance clubs, and upscale places to dine.Our woman are much more beautiful here than many cities that ive been to.We have the mountains and beaches.We have an already huge skyline with new towers and condos popping up on every corner.We are the nations second largest finacial center behind only New York City. We now have light rail to travel to and from uptown from many places in our city.We are building Nascars hall of fame in uptown charlotte which i will remind you has passed the nba in tv ratings.To hell with the nba,this is a college basketball state,with the heels and blue devils and many others.We gave basketball Micheal Jordan,Vince Carter,James Worthy,Tim Ducan,Chris Paul and many others.We did not care to lose the nba the first time...this is the panthers town. Chicago,Atlanta...ect. and ive come from a family who owns a business that travels different cities around the world.Im also saying Wtf makes an Nba city for these spoiled dumb fucks? Obviously many people considering every year we are in the top 5 in the nation as far as fastest growing cities in the U.S. While the rest of the nations economy is in a struggle ours continues to do better.Our crime rate is lower than most,our city is clean and beautiful compared to some other trashed cities in the NBA.Our night life and entertainment is on the rise,our arts, and Schools are better, Our food,shopping is better than alot of towns.Not to mention we are the nations second largest banking City behind only New York City...This is why Charlotte has turned its back on the NBA and lost the Hornets.They do not care about a bunch of young spoiled thugs that have to live in larger markets and hide out with other thugs in the L.A.,New Yorks and Chicagos.The hell with the NBA,There ratings are down and people are losing interest because of s---like this.And the idiot who wrote who’d wanna live in Charlotte.Do your homework before you write about a town idiot! . | Posted by

I live in NYC, and Charlotte is looking like a mini Manhatten. You really shouldn’t hate on Charlotte. There’s a lot happening down there. . | Posted by
