Reports Claim that Isiah Thomas Fired by New York Knicks

  By C.Y. Ellis
04.17.2008 - Updated on 04.17.2008

If today’s reports are to be believed, Donnie Walsh has finally pulled the trigger on the move the Big Apple has been calling for since late 2006. Isiah Thomas, the man most hold primarily responsible for the New York Knicks’ sustained descent into mediocrity, is said to be out as coach, with Mark Jackson pegged as a likely replacement.

The team compiled a 56-108 record over the course of Thomas’ two years at the helm, a time in which he was also criticised for the decisions he made as General Manager which put the Knicks, who ended the season eighteen games under .500, more than thirty million dollars over the salary cap. His problems were compounded by the sexual harassment lawsuit filed by Anucha Browne Sanders, a Garden employee who went home with an $11.5-million out-of-court settlement.

The Knicks are irrelevant. Who cares if Isiah stays or goes? The team still sucks! .

If I was a Red Lobster employee...I would seek other employment...this would give me a heightened chance of not getting fondled by Isiah Thomas. .
