Monarchs roll past Storm to win third straight

Yolanda Griffith and Chelsea Newton each had 14 points, while Nicole Powell and Rebekkah Brunson both had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Monarchs, who missed just two of their 24 foul shots.

Sue Bird scored a game-high 21 points to pace the Storm, who also got 12 points from Iziane Castro Marques and 10 apiece from Janell Burse and Katie Gearlds. Wendy Palmer pulled down 13 rebounds.

The Monarchs, who shot 39.7 percent from the field, logged their 12th straight home win, extending their franchise record for the regular season.
