The comments here are all interesting. It amazes me that when the question of black men / white women come up, black women come across as angry. I am a black women. I don"t believe black women are angry or bitter. I just believe black women would like to see equality. If there are going to be a small percentage of black men with white women. Why can’t there be the same balance with white men with black women. I don’t believe it coincidental that it’s usually black men with white women. There’s something deeper behind that pairing. Some say it’s love, some say it’s the sex. But regardless of what it is, there’s a reason that you don’t see as many white men with black women. Not all black women are fat, ugly, and bald-headed as main stream media portray us. All black women are not rude and loud. There are many beautiful black women in the world, and guess what, most white men don’t want us. .

I’m just curious, do these professionl ballers (Basketball, Football or Baseball) marry these women for their intelligence and inner-self or just for beauty. Some of the wives most likely reseamble nothing of the ballers sisters or mothers. At the same time, single women (BLK, WHI, HISP or CHI) if you feel that the choices that many of the players decided to pick is not your taste, don’t get upset just be glad its not you. Many times player wives endure so much over a period of time and are expected to maintain an image. Beauty can only go so-far... Well, just remember love comes in many shades, sizes and perceptions, it always begins with you. Love who you are, it’s 2009 life is to short to hate ballers that didn’t cross you path and choose you. Remember, this is just an opinion . Re-evaluate you, what you value, the company you keep, the men you meet and date as-well as the clothes you wear, even the places you hang out with your girls. Take care of yourself and know that you have purpose. .

Funny thing is I would bet my life that the majority of the people who are complaining about these athletes wives and their skin color voted for Obama. Msg to black men - You’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t. .

all i have to say is dont hate. a person can find love anywhere with anyone. who are any of us to hate on that. as a person of mixed background i’m glad i was brought up to see the possibility of love with any woman from any background. having said that we all have our preferences that we are entitled to. The idea that all white people or all of any race for that matter think the same way is ridiculous. yes a white girl may not be able to understand from personal experience what a minority deals with but that doesnt mean they cant show some empathy or educate themself to understand. personally i have friends of all different backgrounds and I’ve dated all different types of women. i find close minded opinions to be unattractive regardless of what your background is. you can date or not date whoever you want but dont try to tell others who they should date until you have walked several miles in their shoes. otherwise you are just hating to be hating. .

Being a WIFEY of someone with money isn.t what it is all cracked up to be trust me of course it has it’s benefits, but there is also another side. I’m with someone who takes care of me and his children i drive a beautiful SUV, we have the house, luxuries, I don’t have to work ...but when it boils down to everything it is still HIS money. And trust me athletes feel the same way esp. the super-rich ones they want Wifey to stay home and be with the kids while they frolic around, and wifey better not ask where thay have been or who they were doing because— they have the POWER they have the MONEY. They can do whatever they want to do —bottom line try not to marry just for money. The MEN hold all the power. .

Just about every one of these NBA players is hooking up with other women on the side. Nowitiski may or may not have just knocked up some chick. Anyway, I don’t know why they bother getting married. And the ladies who marry them are just as stupid (gold diggers) .

I have to say that I sat here for about 45 minutes reading or skimming over some of these blogs. We all came to this site because we were curious about what one baller or anothers wife or girl looked like. You all wanna talk about how can we disect their relationship or decide whether they’re in love, no one can do that! We all looked at PICTURES not insights into these peoples personal relationships.I don’t think it’s at all ignorant, judgmental, hating, or displaying any insecurity because regardless of what anyone says; there’s an undeniable trend. That’s just people making an observation. I am a black woman and I don’t feel at all threatened or that my hopes and dreams are being crushed because of the fact of who these men choose to spend their life. My goals and dreams go far beyond being a ballers wife into the plateau of " What can I achieve for myself." Believe me when I say my the sky’s the limit for ME! And if that’s the extent of your dreams, this could very well be why they AIN’T CHOOSING YOU! Everybody is entitled to their preference and I won’t argue that the media has hyped the light skin long hair hot girl image, but if you let that negatively impact your self image that’s bad on you. These men were raised by black women who likely straightened their hair, lightened their skin, and instilled that "beauty" wasn’t within them because so many things have been done to change their own image. More power to these men, I ain’t mad. I have experienced a beautiful relationship with a man of another race and he loves me for every bit of me, and it didn’t start with my chocalate skin but for my personality, drive, and my skills in the kitchen didn’t hurt ;p I won’t boast about my beauty simply because I don’t have or need to, it shows because I exude confidence and I walk around like the world is my runway ALWAYS! To all those that love, God bless, that’s what we’re on this Earth to do! For all those that have let others tell you what’s beautiful, God bless you too, you’re going to need it! Remember that everything that glitters ain’t gold. Don’t be jealous, get out there and get yours then maybe you could expect someone to wanna wife you, you aren’t owed anything by any of these men because you’re dark. It doesn’t mean you can love him, raise his kids any better, cook a better meal, or you’re not gold digging (as some claim of these women) or trying to get something outta them too. Love yourself before you take concern with who’s loving who in the land of the NBA. To that ignorant Joe Mama, opinions are like assholes......everybody has one. But if it leads you to believe that all of us black women are uneducated, whores, drug addicts, or incapable of raising our children; you continue in that and I’m sure that life will lead you nowhere beyond the gates of your trailer park. If ignorance is bliss, you must be one happy camper! To youngblackman, you don’t have to throw your big words around. Your vocabulary is extensive, but obviously you aren’t good at gauging your audience. This isn’t a room of Rhodes Scholars (no disrespect), it’s just a simple forum where people express their opinions (preferably not in words that don’t make me have to break out a dictionary and thesaurus) . If sounding smarter than everyone else was your goal, I hope you feel accomplished, but in all actuality you sound like an over confident, bigheaded, brash, boastful, arrogant, smug jerk. .
