Bucks continue Krystkowiak era against Bobcats 03.17.2007
|
The Bucks have never lost to the Bobcats, having won the eight all-time meetings between the teams. That includes a three-game series sweep last season and a 99-91 win in Charlotte in the lone meeting so far this campaign.
The two clubs will meet twice more this season.
Milwaukee defeated San Antonio, 101-90, on Thursday to give Krystkowiak his first victory since taking over for Terry Stotts, who was fired the previous day.
Michael Redd scored 29 points to help the Bucks snap the Spurs’ 13-game winning streak. Andrew Bogut added 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Lynn Greer and Ruben Patterson donated 14 points apiece for the Bucks.
The win improved the Bucks to 15-15 at the Bradley Center this season and 2-2 on their current seven-game homestand. Milwaukee will also receive visits from the LA Clippers and Detroit.
Charlotte, meanwhile, is just trying to survive the season. Playing without Sean May (sore right knee), Emeka Okafor (strained left calf), Primoz Brezec (sore left ankle), and Brevin Knight (strained left groin), the Bobcats were defeated by the Los Angeles Clippers, 102-93, on Friday.
Raymond Felton had 18 points and Gerald Wallace scored 15 points with eight rebounds for the Bobcats, who had won two straight entering the game. Matt Carroll scored 13 points.
Last in the Southeast Division, Charlotte is just 9-24 on the road this season and has dropped six straight as the visitor.
