Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams combined for 56 points, 16 rebounds and 18 assists as the Utah Jazz defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 105-86, at the Staples Center.
Boozer scored 28 points, pulled down 15 rebounds and dished out four assists, while Williams poured in 28 points and handed out 14 assists in the win over the Clippers for Utah, which has won two in a row and four of its last five games overall. Mehmet Okur finished with 18 points, while Andrei Kirilenko added 12 in the victory.
Utah an impressive 11-1 at home this season. The Jazz have won four in a row as the host. After tonight’s contest they will embark on a five-game road trip that consists of games at Indiana, New York, Atlanta, Charlotte and Memphis.
Sacramento plays the finale of a two-game road trip. On Tuesday, Matt Barnes poured in a career-high 32 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Kings, 126-113, at ORACLE Arena.
Kevin Martin led the Kings with 32 points in the loss to Golden State, while Ron Artest scored 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds for the Kings, who have dropped six of their last seven games overall. John Salmons finished with 18 points and 10 assists, and Mike Bibby scored 16 in defeat.
The Kings, who have lost four in a row on the road, are 2-7 as the visitor this season. They return home for a three-game homestand. Sacramento will host Phoenix, Dallas and Washington on the upcoming stand.
This is the second meeting of the season between the clubs. On November 22nd, Boozer poured in 32 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to help Utah knock off the Kings, 110-101, at ARCO Arena.
Sacramento has won 10 of its last 12 at Utah. The teams have split the last six contests in this series.
