(Basketball News) - Stephon Marbury and Joe Johnson each scored 22 points to lead Phoenix to a 99-96 win over Golden State at the Arena on Monday.
Marbury dished out eight assists and Johnson added eight rebounds and seven assists for the Suns, who have won two straight games. Amare Stoudemire collected 15 points and a game-high 18 boards in the win.

Golden State trailed by seven after three periods, but climbed within 84-82 on Jason Richardson’s three-pointer with just under seven minutes left in the fourth. Phoenix then scored the next six points to widen the gap to 90-82.
The Warriors made a game out of it in the final minute as they cut the deficit to 99-96 on a pair of free throws by Brian Cardinal with 44.3 seconds left. Anfernee Hardaway then missed a running floater for Phoenix and Golden State grabbed the rebound with just under 10 seconds left.
Nick Van Exel’s three-pointer as time ran out hit the side of the rim and the game came to an end.
Phoenix snapped a two-game losing streak as the visitor against Golden State.
The Suns are off until Wednesday when they host the Atlanta Hawks.
