They are so many examples but you look at Bryant Reeves, Christian Laettner, Derrick Coleman, Danny Manning. They were great in college, and good in the NBA but weren’t superstars. It’s gets annoying to me as well when people start overhyping players like Tyler Hansbrough which I think he’ll be like Christian Laettner. . | Posted by Ryan Iversen on 10.24.2008 | You have good mock drafts Lance. You can tell you really analyze and think about a players whole perspective with all the levels, not just college. That is how a draft is ran. Many people think oh man so-so is the greatest college player he’s gotta be #1. But they don’t realize just because a college player is great now not all will be as great and shouldn’t be drafted as high on the NBA level. There are some that are obivious Like the Derrick Rose’s, Kevin Durant’s, Michael Beasley’s, etc... But the others like Michael Olowkandi’s, Darius Miles’s, Mateen Cleaves,etc.. So are great at one level others are not. Anyway I’m done with my rant for the day, I just had to get that off my chest. Every site I’m on so people relie too much on names and not the overall game . | Posted by I See LA on 10.24.2008 | Ben Howland likes to stack alot of talented players at the PG spot every year and it always works out with the combinations he uses at UCLA. Jrue Holiday, Darren Collison, Malcolm Lee, and sometimes Josh Shipp will handle the ball. I think all four are talented and are either all gonna have similar stats, or Jrue and Josh will be trying to dominate. So they can get drafted as high as possible. Darren is pretty unselfish and I think Malcolm Lee is overrated and will take him a couple years to get going. I think Jrue stays two years max, then leaves and should be a top 10 pick whenever he does. I think #3 is very likely he plays like DWade and Ben Gordon . | Posted by Nuthin But A Brotha on 10.24.2008 | John Wall is the best do doubt. Little dude got skillz. I hope he chooses to play at Kansas. I hope he is ok from the car accident he was in the other day. His mom said that will hold back his decision on what school he’ll select. He’ll be a one and done player as he should be with his skills. Kansas is the best place for him to win a championship and rack up stats rather than Memphis. Also I think where he decides to go, Xavier Henry is gonna follow so they can form the best 1-2 back court combo in the country . | Posted by Oliver James Simpson on 10.24.2008 | I love Jonny Flynn. The team that selects him will be VERY pleased . | < Prev 1 2 3 4
