A Look at Aaron Brooks

Aaron Brooks is a 6’0, 160 pound point guard with a good basketball IQ. He is a great scorer who can get on a hot streak real quick.

He is a solid three point shooter and a good clutch player. His perimeter shooting has improved a lot and so has his leadership skills. Aaron is a good ball handler and he likes to use various moves to get separation from defenders. Aaron is athletic, has good speed, and is a good finisher. He also passes the ball well driving in the lane and then kicking it out to open teammates. He is a good rebounder for his size, a solid decision maker, and a great free throw shooter.

Aaron lacks size and that could be a problem in the NBA. He doesn’t have good court vision and has shown he struggles to control the tempo of the game. He can become selfish and forget about the teammates around him. Some question if he has the mentality to be a good point guard. He tends to take a lot of bad shots and can also get out of control when the ball is in his hands. He also has habit of reaching in and picking up a lot of fouls. Aaron can be pretty predictable he loves to go to his right side and should work on his left side ball skills.

Overall I believe Aaron has enough talent to stick around in the NBA for a while. When I look at him play it reminds me of Chucky Atkins.

NOT A BAD PLAYER. I thinks longmire from the Ducks is a much better rebounder and shooter. but brooks is not bad, very qucik for his size. If the ducks have player other players last year they would have won the national champship .

If Chucky can stick around the league, Aaron should definetly beable to. He’ll have his hands full playing with the Rockets .

Do not underestimate Aaron Brooks! he has the heart AND talent to do well. He’s one tough customer and will be sorely missed in Eugene. We wish Aaron the best in all his endeavors in the future. .

He is not much of a point guard and could fit on a team that needs a scoring guard or a clutch player. His size could be an issue to. But he does have game similar to Chucky Atkins, so he has the chance to be solid. .

I disagree I think he will be able to stick around the league with the few quality things he can provide. .
