Bill ’Sky’ Walker

Bill 8217 Sky 8217 Walker

The first thing that stands out to me with Bill Walker is his hangtime in the air and throwing down some sick twisted dunks. Many believe he could give Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, and Vince Carter a run for their money if he was in a dunk contest with them.

His explosiveness, leaping abilities, and leg strength is truly amazing. His body strength overall is very good as well, and he likes to use it to his advantage. He has become a good consistent shooter on the perimeter and from the three point line. He can change the game tempo instantly. He is an excellent finisher after contact. He is rapidly improving on many areas of his game and his upside is skys the limit. Bill has good instincts, he can create offense off the dribble and is fearless. He loves challenges and playing against top level competition, and is a hard worker.

Right now he still seems to use his athletic abilities to get results on the floor, rather than his fundamental skills. He needs to develop some maturity and composure, he can lose his cool sometimes. At times he can lose focus on being aggressive and passionate and he’ll start to slack off. His first step is not very quick. Some observers still aren’t sure what NBA spot would be best for him SG or SF. He must stay positive off the court, to stay on the court, but I believe that won’t be a problem. He had some knee issues in the past, but it looks fine at this point.

Bill is 6’6, 220 pounds and will be a sophomore at Kansas State, playing with freshman Michael Beasley should help out big time. I think in the NBA Bill Walker could be similar to Andre Iguodala.

I think Bill is underrated as a player. Many people just see a kid that has hig flying abilities. But he does alot of things well. He’s like Scottie Pippen in a way you know he’s there, but gets overshadowed playing with another great player. O.J. was the one getting most of the shine, but I feel Bill deserved just as much. Hopefully he’ll be the go to guy this year at Kansas St, and not Michael Beasley. I’m interested in seeing how Bill would do be the go to guy and the team leader. .

Man I love to see a dunk contest with Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, Vince Carter, Julis Erving, Kobe Bryant, and Bill Walker competeing against one another. That would be real exciting to watch. But of no doubt Vince Carter would win hands down. With Michael Jordan taking second, and Kobe Bryant grabbing third place. .

Just saw some of his massive dunks on utube. Man he’s got some springs on him. He will make a defender look foolish in a second if don’t get out his way. I also saw that he has a nice outside shot as well. He does look like a player that relies on his athleticism more, and I did see some simiarities between him and Andre Iguodala. Hey if the NBA doesn’t work out for him, I know he has streetballer written all over him. .

He is gonna be BIG this season. I’m looking forward to watching him and Micheal Beasley dominate at KSU. Living in the Kansas area this year is gonna be fun to watch Kansas and Kansas St, be HUGE forces in college basketball. I’m still pissed Bob Huggins that you left us. But thanks for recruiting us some great players! .

I love Bill’s all around game, he is a player I would love to have on my team anytime, and he is definetly exciting to watch! I also agree he could be a Andre Iguodala type NBA player .

Bill Walker is gonna be a future dunk champion no doubt! The nickname SKY definetly fits for him. I also think many observers don’t give him enough credit for the things he does on the court, he’s got quality skills. .

I think Bill Walker would be a better SF because of his strength. I’m still don’t think he has the quickness or the shooting skills to be an effective SG. .
