Eric Gordon Report

Eric Gordon is a 6’3 shooting guard, and will be a freshman at Indiana. He is a good athlete and has high basketball IQ.

He works hard and loves the game with a passion. He is capable of being a big time scorer, and has a nice outside shot. He likes shooting off the dribble on the perimeter with his quick release shot. Eric has a very quick first step, he likes to drive to the basket to draw fouls, and he is a great finisher. Eric is a tough defender that can get steals, and he rebounds the ball well. He has good body strength and good body control, and he uses it to his advantage. He is capable of throwing down some nice dunks, with is great leaping abilities. He is a fast player on the open floor.

A big question with him is, what position would be best for him PG or SG. He plays like an SG in a PGs body. Eric can struggle to create shots. He can become too focused on just shooting from the outside, and he needs to learn how to mix his shot selections up more. His passing skills could still use some work, and he lacks court vision. He can lose control when the ball is in his hands for too long, he should work on his PG skills. He can lack consistency in some areas of his game.

Overall Eric Gordon has a lot of good qualities and is very talented. I think if he continues to improve some areas of his game, he’ll be a solid combo guard in the future. I see some similarities in his game with Bonzi Wells.

are you guys serious? He is the best SG in the country, no question. His game is different than that of Rose or Mayo. Gordon is a scoring machine, hello 30pt/gm against Indiana Highschool competition is very impressive. Youll see, Gordon will be the best guard in the Big10 next year and one of the very best in the nation, period. There is a reason he was a unanimous top 2 player in the country among analysts..duh .

I agree with SC Clone, I think Eric Gordon is an average player, but I don’t see what’s so special about him to consider him better than most prospects. I have have watched 9 players in this upcoming class, and I would maybe put him at 9, if I had to rank them. I truly think he is a little overrated .

I don’t know what player SC Clone was watching. But Eric Gordon has quality skills, he has all the things you look for in a player skill wise and passion wise. He could be a future star. .

Once he gets his ball handling and passing skills on point, he could make a nice combo guard. Hopefully he’s grows some more though I’d rather see him be an SG full time. .

When I watched Eric play, I didn’t see what was so special about him. He is a solid player, but I definetly didn’t see why he is one of the top prospects in his class. .

Eric is gonna do big things at Indiana with D.J. White. We could be the surprise in the Big 10 this season. .
