Fresh O.J.

Fresh O.J.

O.J. Mayo will be a freshman at USC, he is 6’5, 210 pounds. O.J. has a high basketball IQ, is very poised, and a big playmaker. He controls the tempo real well, and sets up teammates well. He is decent on the perimeter, has great range on his shot, and is a good finisher.

He is very competitive, plays with great confidence and passion. He can be a go to player and take over the game at anytime, he also is a clutch player. He has an amazing first step and has very quick foot speed. He is very creative when driving to the basket and is good at drawing contact. He has a strong body and can overpower most PGs and he can also take them one on one. He is a lock down defender and has quick reflexes. He likes to get most of his points driving to the basket, and his passing abilities are solid. O.J. can quickly forget about his teammates and will try to do a lot of things on his own, he needs to work on keeping his teammates involved.

He still needs to work on becoming a complete PG. Sometimes he can get a one track mind and he’ll either focus on just shooting threes or driving to the basket, he is too talented and creative to not use a variety of his skill set. Some observers feel he might be a trouble maker off the court, but I feel he’ll be fine as long as he keeps his focus on being a great basketball player on the court, and hang around positive people off of it.

Overall O.J. has great all around skills and is exciting to watch on the floor. He is most likely a one and done player at USC. He reminds me of a bigger Gilbert Arenas.

Yeah they say that about all the great young ones, LeBron James, Greg Oden, and now O.J Mayo. "Oh he’s way older than he looks." People just can respect the fact that their are kids out here with incredible talent and that they’re truly way more advanced than most basketball players. He will be the next great one, believe the hype people cuz it’s real! O.J. will be balling in a town near you soon, watch him he’s a can’t miss. Rated PG-13. .

O.J. Mayo is an incredible all around player. I think he does an excellent job of doing everything on the court, scoring, defense, passing the ball, getting rebounds, being a leader. Yeah there are times when O.J. could make the extra pa-------instead of shooting it himself. But he gets results no one can argue that, if he doesn’t pa-------as much as he should he still gets like 7 assist a game and still averaging almost 30 points. So how can he be that selfish with stats like that? O.J. homie keeping doing you on the court, you’re doing a great job of living up to the hype. .

I’ma be real right now. I think as O.J. get s to the higher levels of basketball, the more he’ll need to learn to become a better TEAM player. Otherwise his teams won’t be very successful. Right now I don’t see him making USC any better, nor do I see him carrying an NBA team very far. He is very skilled and I like watching some of things he does on the court. But if you watch closely his teammates get frustrated with him and the things he does. O.J. my man you can still put up nice stats and ne a team focused player as well. Please don’t become the next selfish hoops player, we don’t need to see anymore of them! .

I watched alot of O.J’s games in high school. He can be a selfish player at times. He is very talented but he does need to become a better team player and adjust he attitude. I heard him say in an interview one time that he wants to score 81 points in an NBA game like Kobe and had the nerve to say he expects his teammates to help him get it. Come on O.J. look at a fellow cla-------member like Derrick Rose he wants his teammates to be involved and makes alot of effort to keep a positive environment, I hope you learn to do the same. .

I’m going to have alot of fun watching basketball in LA this year wit Kobe and the Lakers, Elton Brand and the Clippers, O.J. Mayo and the Trojans, and Kevin Love and the Bruins. I might sound bias but being in LA, but the greatest ballers are here in the courts and on the streets, not NYC. .

O.J. and I played a few pick up games before, and I told him you remind me of Agent Zero and he agreed they have similar styles of play. I wish him and Bill Walker would have kept their pack to stay and play together, amn what a squad that would be. .

He is gonna dominate the floor with his skills as a PG, he might even be better off playing SG instead, .

O.J. Mayo who have been the the third pick in the draft this year no doubt if he could have come out of H.S. I think he should be next years #1 pick. .
