Hot Draft News Updates

Brandon Rush is withdrawing his name from the draft, due to his ACL injury. His older brother JaRon said "Brandon was still positive that he’ll rehab quickly and get back on track for his junior season".

Greg Oden was asked by a Portland paper, how important it is for him to continue to play with Conley, who he has played on the same team with since the 4th grade and have never lost a home game. His reaction was "It would be really nice to be able to play with him, with how many years we have been together. Especially with the winning streak we have together. I mean, really, we don’t lose. If we come here, it’s almost a guarantee we aren’t going to lose".

Oden’s camp is serious about getting Portland to draft Mike Conley JR, but it probably won’t happen. Portland has already made some initial offers to Atlanta for the third pick like Zach Randolph and Jarret Jack. But the Hawks want either Brandon Roy or LeMarcus Aldridge in return for the third pick, and Portland doesn’t want to part ways with them.

Kevin Durants agent Aaron Goodwin said "In the Western Conference, you need to be quick and up-tempo and drafting Kevin allows Portland to add that Dimension. Nate has stated before he wants a more up-tempo offense".

According to draftexpress, when they asked scouts who is more underrated than anyone else, they said Reyshawn Terry, who some said could be a late first round pick.

Dominic James was not invited to pre-draft camp, since the committee was told he wasn’t serious about staying in the draft. But rumor is he is seriously considering hiring an agent and he is working out with trainer Tim Grover.

Daequan Cook confirmed his intention to play in the pre-draft camp. He will have a huge challenge playing against more mature competition, and it may be tough for him yo show all his skills. He is not expected to return to school no matter how things turn out with workouts.

Once the 75 players are finished with their NBA pre-draft camp obligations, they will be free to workout for teams beginning on June 5th. So some players will not need to travel around city to city to workout for teams. They have a chance to do it instantly from one spot, which saves expenses that come out of their pockets.

Dominic James, I am begging you. If you have not already, go back to college. You are way too talented to be taking this abuse. James, McNeal, and Matthews can be the big three for college basketball. Then, after your Senior year go to the draft. You will be 110% better, trust me.You are a great player just get your head on straight and practice hard don’t be arrogant, as some have called you, but walk with humility .Don’t take this as a set back, but take this as a learning experience and practice for the next season and the next time you enter the draft. The road to success takes a lot of off season practice and hard work. Your work ethic must improve if you want to play on the next level. It is going to take studying Steve Nash, Tony Parker, Jason Kidd, T.J. Ford, and even New Jersey’s Marcus Williams. When people talk about Tiny Archibald or Earl the Pearl Monroe listen up and take notes. You must get mentally tuff and make up in your mind that you are going to score when its needed. Don’t just watch an NBA game , study it. Look at the spacing and the way good point guards breakdown defenses . Also look for new ways to get your shot off. You know what you have to work, on so work on it so that I can see you in the NBA one day and say "he’s a hard worker" . Don’t ever slack off in practice. Hustle on every level is rewarded and can compensate for your weaknesses. I am looking forward to seeing you in the MU gold and blue! Remember what one former MU player turn Finals MVP says, "hard work plays off." Get connected with JESUS. Accept HIM a just see where HE will take you. Dedicate your life to HIM today . Let HIM cleanse you from everything you have done wrong. I did and I will never be the same! "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." 1 John 5:4."For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON that whosoever believeth in HIM should no perish but have everlasting life ! " John 3:16 .

Oden is too good to pa-------on at number #1. There are many 3’s with skills-they may not be Durant, but you won’t find anything close to Oden for years to come. Does the rest of the league want to come in the paint if Aldridge and Oden are guarding the rim? .

Oden and Conley are the best 1-2 combo in sports. I don’t care if it was amateur ball. .

It was best for Brandon Rush to pull out anyway regardless of injury. He was decent, but still has lots of room to improve, I’ve agreed with Lance on this the whole time. .

Man the Hawks are dumb, why wouldn’t you trade the third pick for randolph he’s a 20 and 10 guy. There not going to find a player like that in the draft. .

Reyshawn Terry is ok, but I don’t think he’s the most underrated. .

I agree with Aaron Goodwin, Durant is a better fit for Portland. .

See just by Odens response I can tell he didn’t demand to play with Conley Jr. Thats Conley Sr coming in thinking he’s a big dog just cause he has Oden and trying to pull too much weight and flex his muscles as a new agent. .
