NBA Draft: Don’t Be Surprised If....

NBA Draft Don 8217 t Be Surprised If....

Here are some things to keep your eye open for in the draft so you won’t be caught off guard and go into a state of shock! Unless you like surprises then don’t read this.

Don’t be surprised if: This years draft is like last years and has alot of trades throughout the draft. There are some teams that would rather have veterans. Other teams don’t have any picks and would like to acquire one. Some teams want to change spots, players, etc.

Don’t be surprised if: Yi Jianlian some how ends up a Golden State Warrior. Recent reports have indicated that the Warriors are willing enough to make the necessary moves to try and get Jianlian. With Chinese population in the Bay area, they could cash in. They also love how he plays on the court.

Don’t be surprised if: Javaris Crittenton is selected before Acie Law. A few executives have said Crittentons game is too intriguing to past up and said he’ll end up being better than Law a few years from now. So Javaris could be the better choice.

Don’t be surprised if: Julian Wright isn’t one of the first 17 picks in the draft. Two executives have said at the beginning of workouts Julian was a guaranteed top 10 pick. But since then he hasn’t even shown enough to teams to convince them he’s a top 20 player.

Don’t be surprised if: Derrick Byars and Daequan Cook get taken in the top 20. A few executives have said both players are top 15 picks believe it or not. Both are rising fast on teams draft boards.

Don’t be surprised if: Wilson Chandler is selected at #23 by the Knicks. Yes word is Mr.Thomas is interested in taking Chandler, as if they didn’t have enough people at his spot already.

Don’t be surprised if: Sun Yue is drafted pretty high in the draft. He is starting to rise on teams list because of his versatility and potential. Some say he may go as high as #34 to the Dallas Mavericks.

Don’t be surprised if: Kyrylo Fesenko is taken in the top 40. The 20 year old 7’1, 255 pound Center is rising on teams draft boards. At the beginning of workouts he was projected a late second rounder to possibly undrafted. But many now feel since workouts that he has Memhet Okur potential, and many say he could be the steal in the draft.

Don’t be surprised if: Ramon Sessions is drafted at #29 by the Phoenix Suns. Sessions played high school ball for Mike D’Antoni’s brother and Phoenix assistant coach Dan D’Antoni. They are very familar with his style of play and they feel he could really fit in for the Suns.

Don’t be surprised if: You hear Ionut Dragusin’s name called in the draft. He is a very unknown prospect that peaks alot of observers interest. The 21 year old 7’3 Romanian has similarites to Darko Milicic. He is a project but people have indicated that his height and potential if enough to get his name called in the draft.

The dumbazz Lakers fell for the Sun Yue hype. Of all teams to do it; it had to be them. I bet Kobe is talking real bad about the Lakers now with the pick s they made. .

I hope teams don’t fall for the hype of Sun Yue. He is so overrated, and he’ll still be available when the draft is over I bet. If the Mavericks waste a pick on him I’ll be pissed. He’ll end up just like Wang Zhi Zhi. .

If Julian Wright would have gone to Illinois and played under Bruce Weber instead of that recruiter/non-coach Bill Self, he would be enjoying the success that other Illini have enjoyed under a REAL GOOD coach such as Weber. (What does Bill Self say to recruits anyway. He isn’t a good coach and doesn’t develop players, where Weber is and does.) .

I wish Julian would’ve stayed in school with Brandon Rush, that would have been the better decision, but this is what he gets, now he’s not even playing like a top 20 player. .

Looks like misdirection to me—it is very much out of character for the Warriors to reveal their draft preferences. .

I don’t want to see the surprise of that punk azz kid Crittenton get selected over my proven homie Acie Law. Teams should be thinking about now, not the future tomorrow ain’t promised no way. Note to teams TAKE LAW FIRST! .

I agree Touch of Gold: Mullin has to pull a trade off to get Yi some how, some way. He would be a good fir for the warriors and the city. .

I truly hope the Warriors can get Yi Jianlian, even if it means getting rid of my boy Monty Ellis. Do whatever it takes C. Mullin, Yi would be great for our city! .
