Part Five International Prospects Report

Here is part five, the final piece to complete the international prospects series of my top 10 players 20 and under.

9. Nemanja Aleksandrov: Is 6’11, 220 pounds, 20 years old, and is from Serbia.

He is a very good offensive player, with a great outside shot. He has is improving his inside game to go along with his outside game, and he has become an inside-outside threat. He is a good ball handler, he has good passing skills, and good court vision. He has good hands, long arms, quick speed, and pretty good coordination. He plays well with and without the ball. He can play in transition or a set offense. He has a variety of moves to use to creat shots. He is a pretty good rebounder and solid shot blocker.

Nemanja lacks strength and could put on at least 15 pounds. Sometimes it looks like he’s just on the court just to play and doesn’t show much passion. He doesn’t like physical contact, and he can be injury prone. He can get out hustled and overpowered, he needs to show more aggression.

Overall Nemanja is a good prospect, but still could stand out more. I see similarities between him and Toni Kukoc.

10. Alexis Ajinca: Is 7’1, 210 pounds, 19 years old, and is from France.

He has a very good jump shot, and is developing a jump hook in the post. He is versatile and is a pretty smart player. He is good with defensive rotations, he can create mismatches, and he is a very good shot blocker with his excellent timing and length. He is a solid free throw shooter. He is good in transition, he has great quickness, and good coordination. He has good hands and a long 7’9 wingspan.

He is not a offensive rebounder, he is very skinny for his height and definitely needs to ad weight and strength. He tries to avoid contact, and depends on his athleticism to bail him out. He needs to develop some low post moves. Overall Alexis can be a difference maker on the court, but he needs to continue to develop and play to his potential. He has been very inconsistent so far, but is still an interesting player to watch.

I see a combination of Tim Thomas in him offensively and Samuel Dalembert in him defensively.

I read all 5 series reports, thank you for the info. I have become more interested in learning about international prospects. I enjoy watching them. I can can get a head start by looking at these prospects and seeing who the next possible international player might make it to the nba and become a star .

Both Nemanja and Alexis are talented and still considered top prospects. They truly deserve to be on this list. I think they both will make it to the nba in the future if they can stay consistent and live up to their potential. I believe they have what it takes being a former pro player myslef and watching them many times .

I pray that Nemanja can stay injury-free, and finally get back to reaching his potenial as one of the top international prospects. He used to be considered a lottery pick, no he’s mid second round at best. Please pull it together I enjoy watching you on the court Nemanja .

Alexis seems like an interesting prospect, but he also seems very thin. I hope he develops into the right type of player, so I can watch him in the nba one day .

I watch Alexis play all the time. He can be a fun player to watch, and he is still young learning how to play his niche and develop. He does have many quality skills, and can be an asset to any team on offense or defense. The biggest concern may be his weight, and his lack of weight lowers his confidence level because he doesn’t like contact. I hope he continues to improve and develop into a nice consistent player and ultimately make it to the nba. Many are now saying if he doesn’t show something big to standout he’ll end up like Ali Traore and have to fight hs way to get into the nba, good luck Alexis you have my support! .

I’ve heard some good things about Alexis the past few months, but I also hear it’s hard for him to stay consistent .

Both players are quite small for how tall they are. They have skills but their lack of weight could hinder them in the nba .

I remember when Nemanja used to be considered a top 10 pick for the nba draft, now that seems like a long after thought. He probably will end up like a Toni Kukoc type player .

I think Alexis could be a soild nba player if he could just put on alot more weight, he couldn’t have a worst height to weight ratio .

Nemanja is talented but he gets hurt too often, he is the TRUE definition of SOFT! .
