Williams will reportedly sign with an agent, eliminating the possibility he would return to the Wildcats for his junior season.
"It’s always been a dream of mine to play in the NBA," said Williams, "and I feel like I’m in a good position to take that next step. I want to thank the coaching staff and the fans in Tucson for supporting me over the last two seasons."
The 6-foot-7 Williams averaged 16.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 30 games for Arizona this past season. He scored in double figures 26 times and was an all-Pac-10 Conference selection, as well as an all-district pick by the NABC and United States Basketball Writers Association.
Over two seasons, Williams averaged 14.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 63 games (54 starts).
The 2007 NBA Draft is scheduled for Thursday, June 28, at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
