Curry On

It has been confirmed that Oklahoma State junior guard JamesOn Curry early-entry application was submitted before the April 29th deadline. NBA VP of Communications said "It was misplaced", and he is eligible for the draft. When the list had come out, it was a shock to Curry and others close to him that his name wasn’t on the list, but they immediately got to the bottom of it.

At 6’3,190 pounds he is known for his offensive skills and breaking down defenders in many different ways. He can create his own shot, can score from any spot on the court whether it be from the perimeter, three point line, or slashing to the rim. He looks just like Richard Hamilton when he plays without the ball, he runs the court well in transition, he is good on either side hitting pull up jumpers off the dribble, and he also does well separating from defenders.

He is a great ball-handler with great passing skills, and rarely turns the ball over. He does a great job of stealing and deflecting the ball, but still could become a better defender. He has a high basketball IQ, is real good under pressure having strong mental toughness. JamesOn has good court awareness, and he continues to improve his game using his physical skills and will no doubt be a contributer on an NBA team.

The league doesn’t have many players of his niche like I mentioned before the Richard Hamilton type player, other examples are players like Jamal Crawford, Allen Iverson, and Kevin Martin. JamesOn Curry could go anywhere from a second round pick to undrafted, but he will be on an NBA squad in the future.

I bet that had to be a scary thought to not see your name on the list when you expect it to be. But he’ll end up coming for his senior year anyway, he’d be better off being in next years draft where he might be a first rounder or high second rounder. He might not get drafted this year. .

That would’ve sucked if they lost his papers and he couldn’t enter the draft. Having your hope of getting to your dream crushed by errors. i enjoy watching him play, and hope he gets drafted and plays ASAP. .

He would be a first rounder next year, if he stayed for his senior year. Hopefully he’ll decide to pull out. Although I’m with Lance he’ll end up on an NBA squad sometime in the future. He is a rare type of player to pa-------up on. .

I disagree I think he would make an excellent PG, he is a good passer, decsion maker, doesn’t turn the ball over, and has the combination of scoring big to. He makes a great combo guard, that would be an asset to any team, and therefore could make him the steal of the draft. .

His size may hurt his chances on be selceted at a nice spot. He’s not really a point guard, and he is a little small for shooting guard. .

He reminds me of Richard Hamilton exactly, he’s almost like his clone. Thats a good sign for any team. .

I think JamesON would be better off coming back, for his senior year. .
