Ties broken for NBA draft order selection
 New York, NY (Basketball News) - The NBA held random drawings Friday to break ties among teams that finished the 2006-07 regular season with identical records.

The drawings were held to help determine the order of selection for the June 28 draft.

There were three tiebreakers conducted for teams that are in the lottery. Portland won the tiebreaker against Minnesota for the sixth spot, after both teams ended 32-50. Charlotte, New York and Sacramento all finished 33-49. Charlotte won the three-way tiebreaker for the eighth spot and New York beat Sacramento for spot nine. Finally, Indiana beat Philadelphia for spot 11 after both teams ended the year 35-47.

Two tiebreakers were conducted for playoff teams. Washington (41-41) was awarded the 16th spot over New Jersey, while Golden State (42-40) received the 18th selection over the Lakers.
