See you later AL-ligator

As most hoops fans know by now, the two time national championship team of the Florida Gators is dispersing quickly, the four key junior players have declared for the draft, but I want to take a look at Al Horford probably the number one prospect out of the four of them.

Al has developed into a nice all-around player, he does a good job of knocking down the mid-range shot, has nice ball-handling and passing skills in the open floor. His size, length, and athleticism are good assets for him, as he makes the transition to the pros. Horford has become a massive rebounder ecspecially on offense. He works well in half court sets , and does all the little things to help his team out. He ahs quickness, can score with his back to the basket with a nice jump hook, he also throws down massive dunks.

Al has great body control in traffic, shows nice foot work, he shows explosiveness, and is a smart player. He has great leaping ability, is very aggressive, and knows how to establish good position. Al has excellent awareness, makes all the necessary rotations, helps out on double-teams, blocks shots, and forces opponents to change their shot. Al has shown he can be inconsistent on offense and turnover the ball in different scenarios. He knows how to draw fouls, and knock down free throw shots. He is also capable of getting in foul trouble.

He still needs to improve his post game on offense and defense, becoming more fundamentally sound, right now it’s more of his athleticism. Overall I don’t see Al ever being a great offensive player, NBA personnel love his awesome physical attributes like his versatile defensive skills man-to-man, team, and help defense. I see him being a great role player during his career and I believe he can help the right team right away. As a best case scenario he has been projected to be like Emeka Okafo, and as a worst case Ronny Turiaf, but I think he could be like a Ben Wallace. Al should be a top 10 pick in the draft.

lee humphrey should have went in the draft. He would’ve made it very far. He is one of the best florida gators. He can shoot 3s and everything. Why didn;t he enter the draft? I love lee humphrey. He is such a good player. I think he graduated. I wish he had entered the nba draft. Most of his shots were 3 pointers. That was pretty good. Most of the time his shots went in. .

taurean should have gotten a higher pick in the nba draft. He is a good player. He can improve on some skills. He should not have gotten picked in the second round. The second round is too low for him. He is better than that. .

I agree over the last few years Al has developed into a nice all-round player. For awhile alot of us didn’t think he would reach his potential, but he’s coming inro his own. I’m gald he came back for his Junior year it really helped him and his stock. .

Just sayin I would have to disagree with you on that. Noah I agree with you guys probably won’t be a great pro player, Al will be a good role player I think, Brewer could pan out if he puts on some weight, and Green coul dstick around the league but he might do it as a journeymen. Even Richards and Humpery have shots to make a teams roster. .

I don’t think any of the florida gators will be good pros, its like Lance said in the Noah article, some players are great in college, but stink in the pros. I feel all the gators will be like that. .

Noah should have come out last year, Horford came out at the right time, Brewer is fine whether he would’ve stayed or come out now, and Green shoul dhave come back one more year. .

His first year he’ll be like Tyrus Thomas, see very little PT, but the potential to contribute is there for the future, no doubt! .

I can buy Al being like a Ben Wallace, they sort of play the same way. .
